Data & Automation Engineer

We’re hiring for our client, an AI-powered workflow automation platform that simplifies business processes. Join their fast-moving team as a Data & Automation Engineer, helping build systems, automation, and tools that drive the company forward.

What You’ll Do

• Scrape data from Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt; handle proxies, anti-bot measures, and use APIs like Clearbit, Clay, Hunter
• Clean, structure, and deliver datasets into Airtable, Notion, dashboards, and internal tools
• Build automations to eliminate repetitive tasks using Zapier, Make, Python scripts, and connect systems across Slack, Gmail, Webflow, and more
• Contribute to the Harmony platform using React and Next.js; build internal dashboards, lightweight tools, and launch microsites or campaigns
• (Bonus) Work with GPT-4, Claude, LangChain to enrich data and create intelligent, autonomous workflows

Requirements

• 4–5 years as a Data Scientist or Full-Stack Developer
• Strong Python skills, including web scraping (Playwright, Puppeteer, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy)
• Experience with APIs, automation tools (Zapier, Make), structured data (CSV, JSON)
• Familiarity with React and Next.js
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST (or overlapping hours)

Nice to Have

• Startup or early-stage experience
• Familiarity with LLM tools (GPT-4, Claude, LangChain)
• Experience with Supabase, Firebase, Retool, Notion API
• Built growth tools, internal tools, or lead-gen campaigns
• Strong attention to UI/UX, even for internal tools
